Make jewellery together and turn it into a day to remember

Whether you’re celebrating a big birthday, getting the family together, or finally organising a date with friends who now live all over the country, a private jewellery workshop gives you something special to do with the time you have together.

You’ll have the studio and teacher to yourselves for a few hours of making, chatting, and probably comparing how everyone’s jewellery is coming along. Some groups come as part of a birthday celebration before heading out for dinner or drinks, while others have made a tradition of meeting up to try something creative together.

For groups, I usually recommend a flexible version of the Stacking Rings Workshop. Everyone starts by making a selection of silver rings, learning how to texture, shape, solder, and finish them before deciding what they’d like their pieces to become. They can be worn as rings or turned into earrings, necklaces, or bracelets, so everyone shares the experience of making together while creating jewellery that feels unique to them.

You don’t need a group full of naturally crafty people either. Quite often there’s one person who arrives convinced they’re going to be terrible at it who are most delighted with what they make. Everything is taught one stage at a time, with plenty of help whenever anyone needs it.

The best part is that the day doesn’t end when you leave the studio - everyone goes home with jewellery they’ve made themselves and, from what people tell me, these often become pieces they wear all the time - a reminder of the day and the people they spent it with.

Workshop Options

Private groups can choose from any of my 3-hour workshops; the Silver Stacking Rings is the most popular option because everyone can create something unique, but you're welcome to choose whichever workshop appeals to your group.

The standard private group price can be used for:

  • Silver Stacking Rings Workshop
  • Make Your Own Silver Ring Workshop
  • Silver Necklace or Earrings Workshop

If you'd prefer to make a Silver Bangle, Silver Spinner Ring, or Sea Glass Ring, these are also available for private groups, though at an additional cost as they are either longer, or use extra materials.

Private bookings are priced for groups of up to 4 people on weekdays or up to 6 people at weekends; you're welcome to book with fewer people but the price remains the same.

Pricing

Weekday private workshop:

  • £350 for 1 to 4 people
  • £79 per additional person, up to 8

Weekend private workshop:

  • £495 for 1 to 6 people
  • £79 per additional person, up to 8

Organising Your Group

You don’t need to have your final numbers confirmed when you book; you can secure your date first and add people later, up to a maximum group size of 8.

The minimum booking price is £350 on weekdays and £495 at weekends. Beyond the number of people included in the minimum booking, you’ll only pay for the additional guests who actually attend and they can be added up to the day before the event so I can ensure I have all the right tools and equipment available for additional attendees.

Booking & Payment

A £100 non-refundable booking payment secures your date. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the workshop.

Age Guidance

Public workshops are suitable for ages 11+ (with a participating adult) and ages 16+ independently. If you’re enquiring about a private session involving younger participants, please get in touch and I can advise suitability accordingly.

Cancellation, Refunds & Changing Dates

You can move your booking once free of charge with at least 14 days’ notice. If you cancel with more than 14 days’ notice, any amount paid above the £100 booking payment will be refunded. Cancellations made with less than 14 days’ notice are non-refundable, butyou’re welcome to transfer the booking to another group.
