Silver Bangle Workshop
Turn a simple length of silver into a meaningful talisman
A bangle gives you room to play, with more scope for texture, design, and finish than a ring, a great place to start if you've never made jewellery before.
There's plenty of freedom in what you make; you can choose one substantial bangle, or a pair of delicate stackers, you can keep the silver smooth or texture it with hammering techniques, work with round, flat, or D-shaped wire, add decorative details or stamped words.
Some choose this course simply because they love wearing bangles, while others make them to celebrate a birthday, mark a meaningful moment or change, or create a reminder of something they want to carry with them. A word, date, or short message stamped into the silver can hold a meaning that's entirely personal to you, a quiet reminder that stays with you each time you wear it.
The scale of a bangle makes this a lovely introduction to silversmithing. You'll work through cutting, shaping, soldering, and polishing, with each stage demonstrated as you go. It's equally enjoyable if this is your first time making jewellery, or if you've been to one of my workshops before and fancy trying something different.
