Supported Studio Time for Jewellery Making

Sale price £35.00

Supported time and space to make jewellery

Whether you’re completely new to jewellery making, or want somewhere to keep developing the skills you already have, Bench Time gives you a couple of hours in the studio to make jewellery with guidance and support close by.

If you’re a complete beginner, you can choose from a small selection of simple starter projects designed to introduce you to the basic techniques without feeling overwhelmed. You’ll be guided through the process as you go and leave with your first piece of handmade jewellery.

If you’ve made jewellery before, you can bring something you’re already working on, get guidance on some ideas, or help figuring out or a technique you want to practise. You might spend the morning setting a stone, making a bangle, finishing something you started on a course, or working on a more ambitious project than you’ve tackled before.

Everyone works on their own projects, so no two sessions look quite the same. Some people need plenty of guidance, while others are happy working independently and just want advice when they reach a tricky stage. I’m there to help you work out what comes next, demonstrate or revisit techniques, or support you through the parts you’re not yet confident tackling alone.

Bench Time is also a lovely way to make alongside other people. The sessions are relaxed and chatty, and people often pick up ideas, techniques and inspiration from seeing what everyone else is working on.

There’s no ongoing commitment. You can book time whenever you want and I’ll be there to help as needed.
