Want to make gorgeous silver jewellery but don't know where to start? This 6-week course introduces you to the key jewellery making skills you need to make your own jewellery.
Learn in a friendly group of like-minded locals, guided by professional jewellery designer and qualified teacher Jude de Berker.
This course is designed to show you techniques you can easily replicate at home with the minimum amount of specialised equipment - perfect for those wanting to start out in a new hobby or even career! Each week you will learn new techniques including soldering, texturing, shaping, cutting and polishing, and much more.
The course runs as follows:
Week 1: Delicate silver circle necklace
Week 2: Classic silver ring, part 1
Week 3: Classic silver ring, part 2
Week 4: Brass or Copper Statement drop earrings or necklace, part 1
Week 5: Brass or Copper Statement drop earrings or necklace, part 2
Week 6: Brass or Copper Statement drop earrings or necklace, part 3
At the end of the course, you will have 3 pieces of unique jewellery made by you!
The course fee includes materials and handouts will be provided on all the techniques, there's even an option to buy a specially selected tool kit should you wish to continue your making at home.
The class is at lovely Lufkin coffee at the Bank in Grangetown from 7 pm-8.30 pm for 6 consecutive weeks. There's free parking around the venue in the evenings, I will email you a map before we start.
I have put a variety of measures in place to keep us covid secure. There will be hand sanitiser available throughout the workshop and tables will be wiped before we start.
If you do become unwell or need to self-isolate before a workshop, don't worry at all I will simply transfer you to another date or arrange a catch-up so you don't miss out.
